You will find here a small interview proposed to the members of the committee in order to get to know them better.

Why be part of this non-profit organization?

  • I am a hostage and I don't know how to get out of it. Seriously now, my brother came to me and his project immediately made me want to work. So I accepted with a lot of motivation and I don't regret my choice at all.

What is your role in the non-profit organization?

  • I am vice-president. Initially the positions were offered by Alex directly. Then at the annual meeting I was able to stay in my position which made me feel like I was doing a good job.

If you could choose, would you have another role within the non-profit organization?

  • Certainly not. This position is perfect for me and I hope it is how others feel too. I like that I can have some decision-making power and that others can rely on me if necessary. I like to guide and help others. As a vice-president I can combine the two.

Which message to send, by this non-profit organization, is the most important for you?

  • What matters most to me is that people understand that they are not alone. One thing that is close to my heart is that people never feel rejected. Often video games are stigmatized, sometimes with good reason and often not. And for all those who are victims of rejection, we are there and the fun is with us. So if you need a laugh, a change of mind and a good time, this is the place to be.

What do you hope for the future of the non-profit organization?

  • I would like to have a growing community that sees in us everything we want to represent. I also want to perpetuate the non-profit organization so that we can afford to do more things. With the situation we're living in right now, it's naturally complicated to be able to offer everything that we want to offer people, but we are constantly working. We'll make it.

More personally now,

When did you fall into video games?

  • I played Blue Pokémon first. At least that's my first real memory. I was 5. But, the moment I really got caught up in this universe was with the Final Fantasy franchise. The time of FF VII, VIII and IX. Then when FF I to VI came out on the PS 1, it was the final blow. I haven't stopped since.

What do you find most enjoyable in video games?

  • I don't know how to clearly define it. What is certain is having a story told to me while actively participating in it is really pleasant. That's probably why RPGs are my favorite games too. Some adventure or action games can also catch me if the story being told strikes me. So I would say that the best part is being part of a unique story.

Risky question: Retro or New?

  • No, that's not okay. You can't ask such a question. No, to me this question is not infuriating. Still, I would say Retro for the sentimental side and the importance that storys in retro games can have in comparison to today. If I take the example of a Final Fantasy 15 versus 6 I find that to be pretty obvious. I loved both and they are some of the games that marked me the most. However, the stories told in Final Fantasy VI are more present, more memorable for me, than the stories told in the XV. The basic storylines of the two games are both stark, but all that has to do around it is less present in the latest game. And finally, today we also put more emphasis on having lots of things to do like, hunt, collect, fish etc. whereas before it was more about stories than playing time.

What is your favourite franchise / game?

  • I think it’s pretty clear. The Final Fantasy franchise is my absolute favourite. Behind there is everything related to Mario, then Pokémon, Zelda and FIFA.

If a retro game were to have the right to a Remaster, which game would you choose? (choose a game that has not had a Remaster)

  • I will say, after careful consideration, F-Zero. First, because it's been a hell of a time since we last had a game on the franchise and because it would be great fun to find the beautiful tracks of the time on a Nintendo Switch for example. I think it would be super cool.

What is your favorite console (excluding PC)?

  • I hesitate between four consoles. The PS2, PS3, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS. The PS2 because, well the great games, DVD player, oh yeah boy. The PS3 because it was the first console I got for myself. Nintendo Wii, because Nintendo, because innovation, because it is as much a console that I have had for me. Nintendo 3DS because I loved the games and am one of the ambassadors. I even got a certificate on the console and got 20 Retro games for free. So it’s a tough choice. I will say, the PS2 for the memories I can have with my brother on the console.

You have the opportunity to put yourself in the shoes of a video game producer, present your game to us. Title, graphic style, game style (RPG, FPS, etc.), short summary:

  • Colonists from Nowhere. So much for the title of the game. I love Cell Shading or Toon Shading. I really like this graphic style. I'll make it into an RPG Shooter. I would choose these mixed styles because it's not done often enough for my liking.
  • The story would revolve around the colonization of the planet by very violent aliens. Being part of the resistance we will have to defend the land and scare away the colonizers. Where would it become the most interesting would be as the game progresses we slowly take power until we end up being the villain of the story? Why not.
