Our lions are back and they want more!

Our lions are back and they want more!

eSports LoL

Our lions are back, and they want more!

After our well-earned victory during the Post league in 2020, some of our teammates decided to strive another way. However, after some months of recruitment, we finally established a new team.

Our new roster looks as follows:

  • KeNNetic (Top Lane)
  • Mistkäfer (Jungle)
  • Tim Shady (Mid)
  • KoreanCarryJK (ADC)
  • Yatoon (Support)

While KeNNetic (Ken Theis), Tim Shady (Tim Theis) and Yatoon (Yan Theis) are names that should sound familiar, some of them are now positioned on new lanes for this year’s season of the Post Esports Masters. KeNNetic, as the only one who does not go through any change this season, remains on the top lane. Following we have the MVP of the previous year Tim Shady switching his position up and leading the team now as our new midlaner. The last of our already known members is Yatoon, who is now no longer a substitute player, but plays the game in the main roster, as the team’s support.
Nevertheless, we don’t want to forget about our members who joined the team for this new season. We are happy to welcome Mistkäfer (Mika Schaeffer) who joins the team, stepping into the footprints of Tim Shady, as the new jungler, accompanied by KoreanCarryJK (Daniel Duhr), who joins our team as the new ADC, joining Yatoon on the bot lane.

We are also happy to announce that all the stated players are now under contract with us and we hope to be able to defend our title!

If you want to see a presentation of the all the players, stay tuned for that during the eastern school holiday weeks, which is the week from the 5th to the 8th of April.

What we can say about our team at this moment in time is that they are all engaged in their training, preparing themselves for the upcoming matches. We don’t want to name anyone by name here, but what we can mention is that our team’s training involves matches with other competing teams, so that we can make sure that our team will be prepared for everything.

Additionally, we want to announce that our team did not only change members, but also changed its name. In future our team will be known as the ‘Red Lions’, keeping their connection to the BOTRL, but making it sound less attached overall, as they form their own part in our community.

We are all eager to see where our new team will lead us.

That said, one thing is for sure, our new lions are hungrier than ever!

Post Esports Masters Qualfiers

Post Esports Masters Qualfiers

Last Saturday and Sunday it was time. Our Lions were hunting in the Post Esports Qualfication Games.

Finally, the team had the possibility to start their quest of defending their title. It was not always easy, it didn’t always went the way they wanted but they proudly shown everyone that the their hunger wasn’t satisfied.

The Esports Masters will have to deal with hungry lions!

They first started against Nocturnal E-Sports, where they showed what they are able to do.

In my opinion the best performance came from our Top Laner (RL KeNNetic), who was playing as Gangplank.

He did his job, by focussing the enemy’s carries and by always countering Shen’s ultimate with his Cannon Barrage.

Unluckily for the tournament the second team, FAT BOIS ROAMING, did not show up. We won this game by forfeit.

In their last game on Saturday, they were playing against ETERNAL DINDOS.

The game was finished fast. MVP of this game was our adc KoreanCarryJK, with a remarkable performance. With 30 kills he ran over the enemies and their base.

It became interesting on Sunday. Their first game was against our rival OUTPLAY ESPORTS.

The game looked winnable until minute 10. Our lions tried their best and really played well, but it wasn’t enough to beat OUTPLAY.

Last year, OUTPLAY ESPORTS also won against our Lions in the qualification games, but we won the final.

Is this our lucky charm for this year too? Lose every other game and win the Finals? Let’s stay tuned and watch their career with great interest.

Their last qualification game, on Sunday, was against RELY ON. It was an interesting game. Both teams really showed us what they are able to do.

They both tried their best, but in the end our Red Lions won the game and had a final score of 4 Wins and 1 Lose. They took the 2nd place in the qualification games.

In the group stage our Lions are facing once again OUTPLAY ESPORTS, MAD TURTLES and TEAM GAME CHANGER.

We wish them best of luck!

Post Esports Masters comes to an end

Red Lions’ Post Esports Masters

Last Saturday (05.06.21) it was time for our Red Lions to fight. They had to play against RelyOn for the 3rd place of the tournament. In their first game they literally dominated their opponents. You could really tell that they were training hard for the last weeks, because of how they played. The match ended with a win for the Red Lions.

This win boosted the confidence and the moral of our players, which in general a good thing, but not this time… In their second game some of the players became too cocky and overestimated themselves. They lost their focus, and they were run over by RelyOn. The game ended with a loss for the Red Lions.

In the last game they realised that they cannot underrate RelyOn. Our Lions fought with everything they had. In every single fight, you could see that they were 100% determined to win the game. The game was very close. It was a head-on-head match. Neither of both teams wanted to lose. For every fight, our Lions won, there was a counter play from RelyOn. It was an interesting game until the last second. Unluckily for the Red Lions, RelyOn won the decisive fight and won the game. BOTRL’s team earned the 4th place after a hard and heavy season.

Nevertheless, we are still proud of our Team, they did their best and we are looking forward for next season of Post Esports Masters.
